Mia: (Irritated) I accidentally walked into the boys’ bathroom today.

Jack: (Still laughing) Classic mistake.

Tina: (Sympathetically) That’s rough, but you’ll get over it.

Josh: (Trying to be helpful) Just make sure you check the sign next time.

Josh: (Dismissively) I’ve got practice during lunch, can’t stay.

Stacey: (Smirks) And I’ll be sitting with the popular crowd. Better luck next time.

Mia: (Disappointed) Oh. Okay then.

(Everyone leaves, except for Mia)

Mia: (To herself) Great. Looks like I’ll be eating alone again.

(Everyone suddenly races back in, fighting for seats next to Mia)

Jack: (Panting) Hold it, I got here first!

Tina: (Pushing Jack aside) I already told you, Mia and I have a lab report to finish.

Josh: (Confused) Wait, we have a project?

Stacey: (Worried) What if I spill something on my clothes?

Mia: (Rolling her eyes) Always thinking ahead, guys.

(During the bus ride, chaos ensues)

Mia: (Trying to stay calm) You guys, it’s just a field trip. Let’s try to enjoy it, okay?

(Later, everyone is happily eating their lunches)

Jack: (Biting into a sandwich) Mmm, nothing like a good ol’ wedgie to make a ham sandwich taste better.

Tina: (Rolling her eyes) Can we please just focus on the project?

Josh: (Smiling) This is actually kind of fun.

Josh: (Sympathetically) It’s just a temporary setback, guys. We’ve got to stick together.

Stacey: (Walking by) Hey losers, can’t hang with the big kids, huh?

Mia: (Angrily) Enough is enough! What’s the point of being popular if you have to make others feel bad to do it?

Jack: (Eagerly) Yeah! Let’s show them we don’t need their approval to be happy.

Tina: (Agreeing) I’m in. Besides, we have our own little group of awesomeness.

Josh: (Determined) Plus, there are way more important things in life than how many followers you have.

Tina: (Groaning) Would you please be serious for once? I can’t afford to have a bad grade.

Josh: (Jokingly) Don’t worry, Tina. Mia and I will be on our best behavior.

Stacey: (Skeptically) You guys actually think you can fool a substitute teacher into thinking you’re normal?

Mia: (Happily) We’ll just have to show them what an amazing class we are, won’t we?

(The substitute teacher walks in)

Substitute Teacher: (Sternly) Good morning, class. I hope everyone is ready for a productive day.

Jack: (Whispers to Mia) Productive? Boring!

Tina: (Whispers to Josh) This is bad. Really bad.

Josh: (Whispers back) We’ve got this. Just act like we’re really invested in whatever she’s saying.

Stacey: (Rolls her eyes) This is pointless. I’m out.

Mia: (Confused) Wait, where are you going?

Stacey: (Coldly) To find some actual fun. Enjoy your little substitute teacher party.

(Substitute teacher exits)

Mia: (Sighs) Great, now she’s going to give us all detention.

Jack: (Smiling) Don’t worry Mia, we’ve got each other.

Stacey: (Smirking) Don’t worry, I’ll be the judge everyone will have to impress.

Mia: (Nervously) I haven’t decided yet. I don’t know if I have any impressive talents.

Jack: (Encouragingly) Don’t worry, Mia. We’ll help you out. We make a great team.

(Gathering in the auditorium, the performances begin)

Jack: (Juggling) And for my first trick, I’ll be juggling these.

Tina: (Playing violin) I hope you all enjoy my musical contributions.

Josh: (Doing card trick) Abracadabra!

Stacey: (Imperiously) Hmm, not bad, but could be better.

Mia: (Nervously) Okay, here goes nothing.

(Mia walks up to the stage and clears her throat)

Mia: (Sings) I ain’t the biggest, I ain't the best, but I've got a voice and I gotta make it my test. If I can make it through this, I can make it through anything.

(The crowd cheers)

Stacey: (Mocking) You call that a talent? Could use some work.

Mia: (Proudly) I know it’s not perfect, but it’s something I love doing.

Jack: (Hugging her) That’s all that matters, Mia. You did great.

Josh: (Agreeing) But learning can be fun too, right?

Stacey: (Angrily) Ugh, why do we always have to do things as a group? I want to explore on my own.

Mia: (Kindly) That’s okay, Stace. We’ll catch up with each other later.

(On the bus ride, the chaos ensues)

Jack: (Screaming) I need to stretch my legs! Can we make a pit stop?

Tina: (Panicking) My notes are all mixed up! I need to reorganize them!

Josh: (Laughing) This is like a rollercoaster ride! Who’s ready for round two?

Stacey: (Angrily) I told you I didn’t want to sit next to you, Josh. Look what you spilled on my jacket!

Mia: (Calming the chaos) Hey guys. Let’s take a deep breath and focus on having fun, okay?

(At the museums, they all take in the sights and sounds)

Jack: (Gasping) These fossils are so cool! Check out this T-Rex skull.

Tina: (Taking notes) I need to remember this for my report. The social structure of dinosaurs is fascinating.

Josh: (Dramatically posing) Behold, the power of ancient Egypt!

Stacey: (Proudly showing off dress) Check out this designer. No one can outshine me.

Mia: (Nervously fidgeting) I don’t know how to dance. What do I do?

Jack: (Easily) Just follow my lead, Mia. I’m a certified dancer.

(The music begins and everyone hits the dance floor)

Jack: (Dancing like crazy) You see that move? You’re welcome.

Tina: (Slow dancing) This is amazing. I’m going to miss everyone so much next year.

Josh: (Bust a few moves) Cha-cha-real smooth, baby.

Stacey: (Posing for selfies) Wait until everyone on Instagram sees how amazing I look.

Mia: (Nervously tapping foot) I’m just going to stick to the slow dances.

(Before everyone knows it, the night is almost over)
