Episode 1: "Where's Rover?"

Fade in:

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

Four friends, JIM, KAREN, LEXI, and TOM are sitting on the couch watching TV.

KAREN
(sighs)
I wish we had something to do.

LEXI
(playing with her phone)
Yeah, me too.

TOM
(looking up from his book)
I know, let's take Rover for a walk!

JIM
(excitedly)
Yes! Let's do it.

Karen rolls her eyes.

KAREN
(sarcastically)
Great idea. Let's go get some exercise and enjoy nature.

They quickly get up and head towards the door.

CUT TO:

EXT. PARK - DAY

The group is walking along the path, and Rover is happily running around.

TOM
(smiling)
Isn't this great guys?

Suddenly, Rover sees a squirrel and starts chasing it.

LEXI
(surprised)
Guys, look! Rover's running away!

The four friends run after Rover, but he's too fast, and they end up losing him.

Episode 2: "Looking for Clues"

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The four friends are sitting on the couch looking gloomy.

JIM
(sighing)
How are we going to find Rover?

TOM
(thinking)
We need to come up with a plan and look for clues.

KAREN
(raising her eyebrows)
What kind of clues?

LEXI
(thoughtfully)
Maybe there's a lost dog poster with a phone number on it.

Jim jumps up.

JIM
(excitedly)
Yes! Let's check social media too!

They all quickly grab their phones and start searching.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET - DAY

The group is walking around with posters, handing them out to people, and looking for any signs of Rover.

Suddenly, they see a man walking a dog that looks just like Rover.

KAREN
(excitedly)
That's him! That's Rover!

They run towards the man.

TOM
(panting)
Excuse me, sir, is that your dog?

MAN
(looking down at the dog)
Yes, it is. Why?

LEXI
(nervously)
Well, we lost our dog, and he looks just like him.

The man looks at them suspiciously.

MAN
(shaking his head)
Sorry, it's been mine for years.

The group sadly walks away.

CUT TO:

Episode 3: "Dog Whisperer"

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group is sitting on the couch looking defeated.

TOM
(gently)
Guys, we need to stay positive. We'll find him.

JIM
(lost in thought)
Maybe we need help. Like a dog whisperer!

KAREN
(rolling her eyes)
Yeah, right.

LEXI
(thoughtfully)
Actually, that's not a bad idea. I know someone.

Karen raises her eyebrows.

KAREN
(questioningly)
Who?

LEXI
(smiling)
My aunt. She's amazing at finding lost dogs.

CUT TO:

EXT. PARK - DAY

Lexi's aunt, JULIA, is walking around the park with the group.

JULIA
(calmly)
Don't worry, guys. Rover will come back to us.

Suddenly, they hear a bark coming from a distance.

KAREN
(excitedly)
That's him! That's Rover!

They run towards the sound.

CUT TO:

Episode 4: "Catching Rover"

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group is sitting on the couch, and Rover is sleeping on the floor.

TOM
(excitedly)
We did it! We found him!

JIM
(thinking)
But how are we going to keep him from running off again?

KAREN
(raising an eyebrow)
We need to put a leash on him.

LEXI
(thoughtfully)
But he's afraid of them.

Julia nods.

JULIA
(smirking)
Don't worry, I've got this.

CUT TO:

EXT. PARK - DAY

The group is sitting on a bench, and Julia is standing in front of them with Rover.

JULIA
(smiling)
Watch and learn, my friends.

She slowly approaches Rover and gives him a treat. Then she slips the leash on him.

ROVER
(barking happily)

The group cheers.

CUT TO:

Episode 5: "Lost Again"

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group is sitting on the couch, and Rover is sleeping on the floor. Suddenly, he wakes up and starts barking.

JIM
(surprised)
What's wrong with him?

TOM
(puzzled)
I don't know. Maybe he's hungry.

Suddenly, they hear a strange noise coming from outside.

KAREN
(worriedly)
What's that?

They run outside and find the gate open with Rover nowhere in sight.

CUT TO:

Episode 6: "The Chase Begins"

EXT. STREET - DAY

The group is running down the street, yelling Rover's name.

LEXI
(crying)
We lost him again!

JIM
(shouting)
Keep searching! He can't have gone far!

Suddenly, they see Rover running towards them, chased by another dog.

KAREN
(excitedly)
That's him! He's coming back!

But as Rover gets closer, they see that he's actually running towards a squirrel.

TOM
(disappointed)
Not again.

The group runs after Rover, who's chasing the squirrel.

CUT TO:

Episode 7: "The Wrong Dog"

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group is sitting on the couch, looking exhausted.

JIM
(sighing)
I think we need to face it, guys. Rover's gone forever.

TOM
(nodding)
Yeah, or maybe he found a better family.

KAREN
(sadly)
Whatever happened, I hope he's okay.

Suddenly, they hear a bark coming from outside.

LEXI
(excitedly)
That's him! I know it!

They run outside and see a dog that looks just like Rover.

KAREN
(excitedly)
That's him! That's Rover!

They run towards the dog, but as they get closer, they see that it's not Rover at all.

JIM
(disappointed)
That's not him.

TOM
(surprised)
But it looks just like him!

LEXI
(nodding)
Yeah, maybe it's his twin.

The group sadly walks away.

CUT TO:

Episode 8: "The Wrong Scent"

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group is sitting on the couch, watching TV.

LEXI
(dejectedly)
We've been looking for days now, and there's no sign of him.

JIM
(puzzled)
Maybe we're looking in the wrong places.

KAREN
(nodding)
Or using the wrong scent.

TOM
(confused)
What do you mean?

Karen stands up.

KAREN
(determinedly)
I mean, we need to use something that smells like Rover.

CUT TO:

Episode 9: "The Great Idea"

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group is sitting on the couch brainstorming.

TOM
(thinking)
What smells like Rover?

JIM
(raising an eyebrow)
His bed?

LEXI
(excitedly)
Yes! His bed! We can put it outside and wait for him to come back.

Julia nods.

JULIA
(approvingly)
That's a great idea.

CUT TO:

EXT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group sets up Rover's bed outside and waits patiently.

Suddenly, they hear a faint bark.

LEXI
(excitedly)
That's him! I can hear him!

They run towards the sound.

CUT TO:

Episode 10: "The Perfect Ending"

EXT. STREET - DAY

The group is running down the street, and Rover is happily running towards them.

JIM
(excitedly)
We got him! We caught him!

TOM
(smiling)
And he's not even running away!

KAREN
(happily)
I guess he finally realized we're his family.

LEXI
(nodding)
Or maybe he just missed his bed.

They all laugh and hug Rover.

CUT TO:

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The group is sitting on the couch, and Rover is sleeping on his bed.

KAREN
(smiling)
I guess it was all worth it in the end.

TOM
(nodding)
Yeah, we got a lot of exercise, and we found Rover.

JIM
(rolling his eyes)
And we'll never let him out of our sight again.

LEXI
(laughing)
Unless he decides to join the circus!

Everyone laughs, and the screen fades to black.
