Episode 1: First Day of Kindergarten
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM - MORNING
MRS. JONES greets the parents and children as they arrive. JIM looks nervous as he drops off his daughter LILY.
MRS. JONES: Good morning, welcome to kindergarten. Please sign in and find your child's name tag.
JIM: (to Lily) Are you ready, sweetie?
LILY: (shyly) I'm scared, Daddy.
MRS. JONES: Don't worry, Lily. We're going to have lots of fun today. Look, here's Max. He's excited to see you.
MAX: Hi, Lily! Did you bring your favorite toy? I brought my superhero action figures!
LILY: (smiling) I brought my stuffed bunny.
MRS. JONES: Great! Now let's all sit down and get to know each other.
The children gather on the rug while the parents watch from the sidelines.
MRS. JONES: Okay, let's start with saying our names and our favorite color. I'll go first. My name is Mrs. Jones and my favorite color is purple.
MAX: My name is Max and my favorite color is red!
LILY: (whispering) My name is Lily and my favorite color is pink.
MRS. JONES: Great job, everyone! Now let's sing the ABC song.
The children sing the alphabet song together as the parents look on with proud smiles.
Episode 2: Art Class
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM - DAY
MRS. JONES leads the children in an art project.
MRS. JONES: Today we're going to make handprint art. Who wants to go first?
MAX: Me me me! I want to make a dinosaur!
LILY: (timidly) Can I make a flower?
MRS. JONES: Of course you can, Lily. Jim, would you like to join in?
JIM: (nervously) I don't think I'm very good at art.
MRS. JONES: Don't worry, Jim. We're just having fun. Here's a smock for you.
JIM puts on the smock as MRS. JONES helps the children with their handprints.
MAX: Roar! My dinosaur is awesome!
LILY: (giggling) My flower looks funny.
MRS. JONES: (smiling) Your handprint art is all unique and special. Now let's hang them up to dry.
The children proudly display their artwork on the bulletin board. Jim takes a picture with his phone.
JIM: (proudly) Look at you, Lily. You're a little artist!
LILY: (blushing) Thank you, Daddy.
Episode 3: Recess Time
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
EXT. KINDERGARTEN PLAYGROUND - DAY
The children run around the playground during recess.
MAX: (running) Look at me, I'm the fastest kid on the playground!
LILY: (watching from the sidelines) I'm not very good at running.
MRS. JONES: (approaching) Are you having fun, Lily?
LILY: I'm not very good at playing.
MRS. JONES: It's okay to feel that way sometimes. Do you want to try something else?
LILY: (nodding) Can I swing on the swings?
MRS. JONES: Of course you can. Let me give you a push.
MRS. JONES helps Lily onto the swing and gives her a gentle push. Jim watches from afar.
JIM: (to himself) She's so shy. I wish she would make more friends.
MAX runs up to Jim, panting and smiling.
MAX: (excitedly) Did you see me, Jim? I climbed to the top of the jungle gym!
JIM: (proudly) Wow, that's great, Max.
Episode 4: Show and Tell
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM - DAY
MRS. JONES sets up a table for show and tell.
MRS. JONES: Today is show and tell day, where we each bring something to share with the class. Who wants to go first?
MAX: (eagerly) I do! I brought my favorite action figure, Iron Man!
MAX holds up his Iron Man action figure for the class to see.
MRS. JONES: That's very cool, Max. Who's next?
LILY: (timidly) I brought my stuffed bunny, Bun Bun.
LILY holds up her stuffed bunny, which is well-worn and loved.
MRS. JONES: (smiling) That's so sweet, Lily. Now, Jim, do you have something to share with the class?
JIM: (nervously) Um, yes. I brought my old guitar. It's not very good, but...
JIM strums a few chords on the guitar, which sounds off-key and out of tune.
MAX: (covering his ears) Aah! That's terrible!
LILY: (covering her ears) Make it stop!
MRS. JONES: (laughing) Okay, okay, let's give Jim a break. That was very brave of you, Jim. Now let's move on to the next student.
Jim looks embarrassed as the class continues with show and tell.
Episode 5: Music Class
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM - DAY
MRS. JONES leads the children in a music lesson.
MRS. JONES: Today we're going to learn a new song. It's called "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Who knows the words?
MAX: (singing) Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are...
LILY: (whispering) I don't know the words.
MRS. JONES: Don't worry, Lily. You'll learn them soon enough. Let's all sing the song together.
The children sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in unison.
JIM: (smiling) Lily, you have a beautiful voice!
LILY: (blushing) Thank you, Daddy.
MRS. JONES: Now, let's add in some instruments. Max, you can play the tambourine.
MAX: Yeah! I love the tambourine!
MRS. JONES hands Max a tambourine as Lily watches.
LILY: (timidly) Can I play the triangle?
MRS. JONES: Of course you can, Lily. Here you go.
MRS. JONES hands Lily a triangle as the children continue to sing and play.
Episode 6: Field Day
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
EXT. SCHOOL FIELD - DAY
It's Field Day and the children are participating in various games and activities.
MAX: (excitedly) I'm going to win the potato sack race!
LILY: (nervously) I don't know if I can do this.
MRS. JONES: (encouragingly) You can do it, Lily. Just hop in the potato sack and jump to the finish line.
LILY puts on the potato sack and hops tentatively to the finish line.
MAX: (winning the race) Yes! I told you I was the fastest kid on the playground!
JIM: (encouragingly) Good job, Lily. You did it!
LILY: (smiling) I did it! That was fun!
MRS. JONES: Great job, everyone. Now let's move on to the next activity.
The children cheer and high-five each other as they move on to the next game.
Episode 7: Science Experiment
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM - DAY
MRS. JONES sets up a science experiment for the class.
MRS. JONES: Today we're going to make a volcano! Who's excited?
MAX: (excitedly) Me me me! I love volcanoes!
LILY: (watching nervously) I'm scared.
MRS. JONES: Don't worry, Lily. It's just a fun experiment. Now, let's start by mixing some baking soda and vinegar.
The children watch as the baking soda and vinegar react to form a fizzy eruption.
MAX: (laughing) Look at it go!
LILY: (giggling) It tickles my nose.
JIM: (smiling) This is so cool.
MRS. JONES: (smiling) Now let's add some food coloring to make it look like lava.
The children watch as the lava flows down the sides of the volcano.
MAX: (awestruck) This is the coolest thing ever!
The children cheer and high-five as the experiment comes to an end.
Episode 8: Story Time
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM - DAY
MRS. JONES gathers the children on the rug for story time.
MRS. JONES: Today we're going to read "The Three Little Pigs". Who knows the story?
MAX: (excitedly) I do! I do! The first pig built a house of straw, the second pig built a house of sticks, and the third pig built a house of bricks.
LILY: (whispering) I like the part where the big bad wolf huffed and puffed.
MRS. JONES: That's right, Lily. Now let's read the story together.
MRS. JONES reads "The Three Little Pigs" aloud as the children listen intently.
JIM: (smiling) This is one of my favorite stories from when I was little.
LILY: (giggling) The big bad wolf is silly.
MAX: (laughing) I would have built my house out of LEGOs!
MRS. JONES: (smiling) That's a great idea, Max. Now let's do some building of our own.
The children cheer and high-five as they move on to the next activity.
Episode 9: Graduation Day
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM - DAY
It's Graduation Day and the children are dressed in caps and gowns.
MRS. JONES: Congratulations, kindergarten class of 2021! You did it!
The children cheer and high-five as MRS. JONES hands out their diplomas.
MAX: (excitedly) I'm going to miss kindergarten!
LILY: (timidly) Can we come back tomorrow?
JIM: (proudly) You did such a great job, Lily. I'm so proud of you.
LILY: (smiling) Thank you, Daddy.
MRS. JONES: Now let's say goodbye to kindergarten and hello to first grade!
The children toss their caps in the air in celebration as the parents take pictures.
Episode 10: Post-Graduation
CHARACTERS:
- MRS. JONES, the kindergarten teacher
- JIM, a nervous father
- LILY, a timid girl
- MAX, an enthusiastic boy
INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY
MRS. JONES, JIM, LILY, and MAX meet up at a local coffee shop.
MRS. JONES: It's so great to see you all again. How's first grade going?
MAX: (excitedly) It's awesome! We did a science experiment where we made slime!
LILY: (timidly) I'm still nervous, but I like my teacher.
JIM: (smiling) Lily is doing great. She has a lot more confidence now.
LILY: (blushing) I do?
MRS. JONES: (laughing) Of course you do, Lily. You were a superstar in kindergarten.
JIM: (jokingly) Yeah, she even played the triangle like a pro!
The group laughs and continues to catch up over coffee as the camera fades to black.
