Title: New Year, New Problems

Episode 1: The New Year's Eve Party

SCENE 1: INT. BAR

The scene opens with friends -- JEN, KAT, JOE, MAX, and SAM -- meeting up at their favorite bar to plan their New Year’s Eve party.

JEN: So, guys, what are your new year's resolutions?

KAT: To get into shape, finally.

JOE: I’m done with procrastination.

MAX: And I’ll try to save some money this year.

SAM: I’m gonna find a girlfriend.

JEN: (teasingly)What’s new in that, Sam?

Everyone chuckles.

SCENE 2: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT

On New Year's Eve, the group meets at Jen's apartment, where they start to set up the party decorations and snacks.

KAT: Jen, where's the champagne?

JEN: Oh no, I forgot to buy it!

MAX: How could you forget the champagne?

SAM: This party is ruined!

JOE: Relax, there's a liquor store nearby. I’ll go and get it.

SCENE 3: INT. LIQUOR STORE

Joe enters the liquor store to buy champagne but ends up buying something else, too.

STORE CLERK: Can I help you, sir?

JOE: Yes, where’s the champagne?

STORE CLERK: Sorry, sir. We’re out of stock.

JOE: Oh no, what am I going to do?

STORE CLERK: How about this raw liquid?

Joe, in a hurry, mistakingly buys the raw liquid.

Episode 2: Food Poisoning

SCENE 1: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT

The guests arrive, and everyone starts to have a good time.

JEN: Everyone gets ready for the countdown!

MAX: Where's Joe?

KAT: Yeah, he's been gone for a while now.

SAM: Maybe he got lost, or something happened.

Suddenly, Joe arrives with the raw liquid bottle.

JOE: Guys, I'm back, and I got the raw liquid.

EVERYONE: (simultaneously) What?!

JOE: We're out of champagne, remember?

SAM: This party is ruined.

MAX: Let’s try this. It can't be that bad.

Everyone grabs a glass of raw liquid and clinks them in cheer.

SCENE 2: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT, NEXT MORNING

The next morning, the group wakes up with food poisoning, and their New Year's day is ruined.

KAT: (groaning) Jen, I can't believe you let Joe bring the raw liquid.

SAM: My New Year's resolution to find a girlfriend is not getting anywhere from here.

JOE: All my hard work of procrastination gone in vain.

MAX: And I can't even save a penny now.

JEN: (sarcastically) Wow, this is a good start to the new year.

Episode 3: The Fortune Teller

SCENE 1: INT. COFFEE SHOP

The group decides to go to a coffee shop to discuss their fortunes for the new year.

JOE: Do you guys believe in fortune tellers?

EVERYONE: No

KAT: I think they just make stuff up.

Suddenly, a fortune teller, MYSTICAL MARIA, enters the coffee shop.

MYSTICAL MARIA: (to the group) You guys don't believe in me, do you?

EVERYONE: No

MYSTICAL MARIA: Why don't you let me prove my skills?

JEN: (sarcastically) Sure, why not?

SCENE 2: INT. COFFEE SHOP

MYSTICAL MARIA predicts all the friend's future except for SAM.

SAM: Hey, what about me?

MYSTICAL MARIA: I can't see your future.

SAM: (disappointed) What do I do now?

JOE: You can always swipe right!

The group begins to laugh.

Episode 4: The Ghost in the House

SCENE 1: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT

After returning home, the group notices strange noises coming from Jen's room.

MAX: Jen, what’s that noise coming from your room?

JEN: I don't know.

KAT: Maybe a ghost.

SAM: Wait, there's actually a ghost?

KAT: Chill, it was a joke.

The noises continue, scaring the group further.

JOE: Let's check it out.

SCENE 2: INT. JEN'S ROOM

The group finds out that the strange noises were from an AC adapter.

EVERYONE, simultaneously: Oh!

SAM: Wait, if that noise wasn't from a ghost, then what was MYSTICAL MARIA talking about when she said I don't have a future?

Everyone begins to laugh and tease SAM.

Episode 5: The Lost Wallet

SCENE 1: INT. COFFEE SHOP

The friends are at the coffee shop again.

KAT: Hey guys, I lost my wallet! I can't believe it.

MAX: Don't worry, let's search for it.

SAM: Maybe someone stole it.

JEN: (determinedly) Let's retrace our steps.

SCENE 2: INT. LIQUOR STORE

They end up at the liquor store, where they bought the raw liquid. The store clerk recognizes them and remembers Kat losing her wallet.

STORE CLERK: Oh, you're the same guys from New Year's Day.

MAX: Yeah, we were here, and Kat lost her wallet.

STORE CLERK: (pulling out the wallet) Here it is. You forgot it on the counter.

KAT: (overwhelmed) Thank you so much. I thought it was lost forever.

SAM: Looks like your New Year's resolution is coming to life, Max. You saved some money.

MAX: (laughing) Not in this case.

Episode 6: The Awkward Encounter

SCENE 1: INT. BAR

The group is at a bar, drinking and laughing.

JEN: So, what do you guys plan to do for Valentine's day?

SAM: Nothing exciting as I'm still single.

JOE: (chuckles) I have a hot date.

SAM: (sarcastically) Good for you, man.

SCENE 2: INT. RESTAURANT

On Valentine's day, Joe arrives at the restaurant and realizes that the restaurant is empty, and he is alone.

JOE: (embarrassed) Wait, what? Where is my date?

The restaurant staff apologizes, and Joe returns and tells the group about the awkward encounter.

EVERYONE: (simultaneously) Oof.

SAM: Your fortune was definitely wrong, Joe.

Episode 7: The Karaoke Night

SCENE 1: INT. KARAOKE BAR

The group decides to have a karaoke night, and everyone sings their heart out.

KAT: (after singing) So, how was my performance?

SAM: It was good, but you went off-key a few times.

KAT: What are you talking about?

SAM: Correction, a lot of times.

DOOR MAN: Hey, you guys are fantastic. Do you want to participate in the karaoke competition tonight?

EVERYONE: Yes!

SCENE 2: INT. KARAOKE BAR

The competition starts, and the friends' performance is hilarious.

JOE: You know what, guys? We're terrible.

JEN: Yeah, I think we should stop right now.

HOST: Okay, The winner is the group that was the most entertaining, and the winner is...

The group glances at each other, waiting for the results.

HOST: You all won!

Everyone cheers and hugs each other.

Episode 8: The Movie Night

SCENE 1: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT

The friends plan a movie night, but they can't decide which movie to watch.

MAX: How about "The Room"?

SAM: No, that's too bad.

JEN: (jokingly) "The Room" is so bad, it's good.

KAT: (laughing) Fine, let’s watch it.

SCENE 2: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT

As the movie starts, everyone begins to laugh at the terrible dialogue and awkward acting.

EVERYONE, simultaneously: Oh, hi Mark.

MAX: (bursting with laughter) This movie is hilarious.

JEN: (smirking) I told you it was good.

JOE: Guys, I can't believe we're watching this ridiculous movie, and we're having the time of our lives.

Episode 9: The Prank

SCENE 1: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT

The friends plan a prank on Joe.

JOE: Hey, guys, what's up? Why are you guys acting suspicious?

SAM: (trying to act nonchalant) Nothing, we’re just planning something.

JOE: (curiously) What are you guys planning?

KAT: Nothing, just some harmless fun.

SCENE 2: INT. JOE'S APARTMENT

The friends break into Joe's apartment and scare him with a fake spider.

EVERYONE: (bursting with laughter) Gotcha!

JOE: You guys are crazy.

SAM: Happy April Fool’s day, Joe.

JOE: (smiling) It was a good one.

Episode 10: The End

SCENE 1: INT. JEN'S APARTMENT

The group is sitting in Jen's apartment, reminiscing about all the crazy moments they had in the year.

MAX: You know, guys, we had a pretty good year.

JOE: Sure, it was full of ups and downs, but we all stuck together.

KAT: We laughed, cried, and had some unforgettable moments.

SAM: And most importantly, I finally found a girlfriend.

Everyone cheers.

JEN: (smiling) You know what, guys? I couldn't ask for better friends.

SCENE 2: EXT. JEN'S APARTMENT, THE NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY

The friends celebrate the new year's eve with raw liquid again, but this time, they have learned their lesson.

EVERYONE: (simultaneously) Happy New Year!

JEN: This year, let’s not make any crazy resolutions, let’s just enjoy life as it comes.

EVERYONE: (together smiling) Agreed.
